Knjigice is a picture-book app for young children, published by Xaliopea International d.o.o., a company registered in Slovenia. This policy explains exactly what the app stores and sends. The short version: reading is completely private, an account is optional, and nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising.
The app contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not build profiles of children or of adults, and we never sell or share personal data.
Which books are opened, how far a child has read and which books are hearted are stored only on the device. When you are signed in, this information also syncs privately within your own account so your favourites follow you to a new phone. It is never shared with other users, never used for advertising, and never combined across households.
You can read the built-in books without an account. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and is used for two things: keeping the books you create in your own library so they survive a lost or changed phone, and tracking the credits you have bought or been granted. When you sign in we receive your account identifier and email address from Apple or Google. We do not receive or store any password.
When you create a book, the description you write is sent to our text and image providers (Anthropic and Google Gemini) to generate the story and the illustrations, and, if you choose narration, to ElevenLabs to record the audio. Generated books are stored on your device and, when you are signed in, in your private account storage. They are private by default — not shown to other users, and not used by us to train anyone's models.
You can choose to offer one of your books to all families ("Publish"). Publishing is explicit — you read and accept the publishing terms each time — and every submission is checked by an automated content review before it can appear; unclear cases wait for a human decision. A published book shows the pen name you chose in Profile (or your sign-in name) as the byline. You can withdraw a published book at any time, which removes the public copy.
If you choose to share one of your books, the app creates a copy at an unguessable link so the person you send it to can read it without an account. Only books you explicitly share are copied, and you can revoke the link at any time from the editor ("Stop sharing"), which deletes the shared copy.
If you report a picture, we receive your one-line description of the problem, the book and page it concerns, and a random identifier used only to limit how many reports one device can send per day. Reports are anonymous — they are not linked to your account or to your reading.
Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your card details. This version of the app contains no purchases at all; credits come from the free signup grant.
The app is intended for young children reading together with a parent. It collects no personal information from children: there is no profile, no chat, no social feature and no advertising. Actions that cost money or leave the book are placed behind a parental gate.
Books stay in your account until you delete them. Deleting a book in the app removes it from your device and from your account, and revokes any share link for it. Signing out clears your login on that device and leaves your local books readable. To delete your account and everything in it, use Profile → Delete account in the app — it erases your account and the books on the device immediately — or follow the steps on the account deletion page.
